Ameet S. Hingwe, M.D., has been practicing infectious disease medicine for nearly 15 years. He earned his medical degree from MIMER Medical College in India. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, in 2010, he worked in Jacksonville, FL, for nine years before moving to Orlando. There, he worked with Orlando Health for five years before joining IDC in April 2024.

Dr. Hingwe is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases. Throughout his career, he has served on Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committees. He has also been actively involved in the education and training of medical students and fellows during their clinical rotations in infectious disease.

Dr. Hingwe specializes in general infectious diseases, with a special interest in surgical infections and bone and joint infections.

He is a current member of the American College of Medicine and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

In his spare time, Dr. Hingwe enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and participating in a variety of sports.
