Dr. Christoper D. Cooper is a third generation Floridian who graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology in 1995, then attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine and graduated in 1999. He completed a full residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Infectious Diseases in 2004. He has been a part of the IDC family for over 20 yrs.  His main focus is in Cardiovascular infections, Thoracic Transplant Infectious Diseases, infections related to Cardiovascular surgery, expertise in infections related to advanced cardiac support modalities such as ECMO/LVAD/Impella devices and Orthopedic related infections. He currently rounds and at Advent Health Orlando and Advent Health Celebration hospitals. He is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
